In your hands ADOPT-A-Classroom project in Colombia, SA
Back on July 6th, Isabella Aguilar, one of our members traveled to Colombia to donate 40 desks and school supplies to a school in need. In your hands foundation together with family and friends donated the 40 desks and school kits to the 5th grade students of school "purificacion Trujillo" .
The condition of the desks which some were 25 years old or older was terrible. The students expressed their gratitude with a series of events which included singing and dancing as well as with several posters full of kind words, but according to Isabella the big smiles of the children's face was more than enough to express their happiness and the immeasurable gratitude.

Puerto Rico Relief
On November 11th and 12th we had the amazing opportunity to visit the island of Puerto rico. we volunteered at "hogar de niñas de cupey" , an orphanage with 21 girls who are victims of abuse. This orphanage is run by a congregation of sisters from "Amistad misionera en cristo obrero (AMICO)". we helped olga, the director of events clean up the gym area so the girls could enjoy a thanksgiving dinner organized by another organization. we were fortunate to be able to participate and play with the girls as well as give them a Christmas stocking "In your hands foundation" prepared with love. The girls were very happy. we handed olga a monetary donation that will help this amazing home with some expenses to continue to do the amazing work they are doing with the girls.
On Nov 12th we drove to the center of the island where the hurricane hit with winds of 175 miles per hour. we visited three families and gave them a monetary donation as well as supplies. these families were so thankful.
The first family is an older man who spent the entire hurricane inside his car because his house was completely destroyed in matter of hours.
The second family consisted of a couple and their son. They lost the roof of their house, and now they are using a blue tarp in the meantime, the government has not given them any assistance yet.
The third family of a husband, wife and two kids are counting their blessings because it is a miracle they are alive. their house was taken away by a mud slide and they were able to escape un harm.
We thank every person who donated money or supplies, without you we would have not been able to accomplish such an amazing project.
