build-a-cafeteria at school "purificacion Trujillo" in cali, Colombia was a huge success. Isabella Aguilar and Katalina traveled to Colombia to lead this amazing project which was only possible thanks to all of your support and participation on our “Mother’s Day Tricky Tray” fundraiser. August 5th was the grand opening, Isabella and the rest of the team arrived very early to prepare more than 300 Hamburgers to feed children from Kindergarten to 5th grade. In Your Hands provided the necessary ingredients for the delicious Hamburgers that were prepared freshly in the cafeteria, they also had potato chips and juice. The kids were so happy not only to have this delicious meal but to be able to enjoy it in a beautiful, safe and comfortable space. Thank you to Jhoanna Maria Franco, and her family (Carlos Andres y Esperanza) our loyal and hard working members in Cali, Colombia... our projects would not be possible without your help. Special Thanks to the Teacher (Luz Eneida Vivieros) the most amazing advocate for these kids. Thank you to ALL of you who always support our programs, IYH needs YOU to continue believing on us so we can continue changing children’s lives. Thank you to all the kids who demonstrated their gratitude and happiness with a dance, song or simply having a beautiful smile in their face. IYH will continue to work hard to bring many more smiles to children’s faces.

In Your Hands Board members and volunteers arrived at the village to join Pastor Paul from Cityhope Ministries on the Annual Georgia King Day. This is a celebration where several organizations join efforts to provide this community a fun day, and In Your Hands said present for the second year and provided the children with 150 book bags and the necessary supplies for a successful 2019-2020 school year. The event was a very inspiring event, the families and children were very happy and thankful for their back pack, they signed up at our tent and at 3:00 lined up with their tickets to claim their back pack. The faces, reactions and smiles of the children were priceless. As always we thank all of our supporters, special thanks to Hapag-Lloyd for organizing the school drive and collecting a lot of supplies, Big thank you to Bimbo Bakeries USA for their amazing donation of snacks for the children, they were all enjoyed. Thank you to whomever took their time to place orders online , or donated money so we could complete all of the 150 back packs with the supplies. Thank you to everyone who came to help us put them together as well as distributing them. Enjoy the pictures, they are priceless and speak for themselves. Yaya (Edda),In Your Hands Foundation’s secretary led a project to help families from the community of New Brunswick in an effort organized by The First Baptist Church of New Brunswick for their Sunday Bible graduating class. IYH donated new and gently used clothes and shoes to many families of this community, the children also had the chance to pick up a toy or a stuff animal... thank you Yaya for leading this project . |
