Despite this horrible pandemic and the cold and wintery weather , this past Sunday In Your Hands joined efforts with City Hope Ministries and delivered toys to the children of Newark. Many of these families have lost their jobs due to the pandemic and are not able to afford presents for their children. Our goal was to collect 100 toys , but thanks to your donations we over passed this goal by a lot. Any left over toys were donated to the local hospitals so they can give them to children in their care. Thank you to everyone who donated toys , money, time, we could not have done it without YOU. Let us reflect during these times and be thankful for All that God gives us everyday and if you have a chance to share yoir blessings with someone in need , do it, as yoir blessings will multiply. 😍😘👏 In Your Hands is so proud to present to you our latest project and this time we are taking you to “La Guajira”... for those who don’t know where this is, It is in the northern Most part of Colombia, it is a beautiful region but unfortunately one of the most neglected by the government. The region is populated mostly by indigenous groups who lack the most vauable natural resource “potable water”. The residents, or how they are more comonly known “The Wayuu” community does not count with running water like you and I are fortunate to have, and which is taken for granted by most of us. During the months of May through August and dispite the COVId-19 situation, In Your Hands foundation in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Chatham was able to fund a donation of 50 500 litter tanks to this community. Around 300 residents (out of this 120 are children) of 4 villages in this area are now benefitting from the possibility to store water which will be provided on a weekly basis by a local non profit organization, and have it readily and closer to their homes for the daily use. This was an effort of many organizations who joined hands and were able to complete this beautiful project. Thank you to "Wayuutu" for reaching out to us and organizing the logistics of this project , thank you to "the Rotary Club of Chatham" for partnering with us in funding this amazing project. Thank you to the local non profit "Pamiguajira" who will be providing the precious liquid to these communities. Enjoy the video (Spanish), despite the fact that it is in Spanish, will allow us to show you what true collaboration between organizations is all about, and of course the beautiful smiles of the people. In Your Hands Board members and volunteers arrived at Cityhope Ministries to join Pastor Paul on the Annual BOOK BACK Drive. This is a celebration where city hope ministries joins efforts with other organizations to bring much needed help to the community of south Newark, NJ. this year's event was organized under the CDC guidelines for social distancing, but despite the regulations, In Your Hands said present once again and provided the children with 120 book bags and the necessary supplies for a successful 2020-2021 school year. Thank you to whomever took their time to place orders online , or donated money so we could complete all of the 120 back packs with the supplies. Big thank you to HERR'S FOODS for their amazing donation of snacks for the children, they were all enjoyed. "United we shall overcome all adversities"
During the month of January the island of Puerto rico suffered from a devastating series of earthquakes leaving many families in the streets and living in tents. The children were not able to attend school since their schools were destroyed by the earthquake, so teachers decided to bring back a sense of normality to these kids and started teaching in tents, they did not have any material or supplies to fulfill this task. In your hands Foundation collected funds to sponsor the shipment of school supplies to this area, and thanks to the hard work and amazing hearts of the members of Trike Masters international who collected the supplies, we were able to send three boxes with supplies. Thank you to everyone who donated and made it possible to help our beautiful teachers and children in the south of Puerto rico.
